Correro & Leisure, P.C. is honored to have recently helped our client,
a construction worker who was seriously injured in an auto accident, obtain
a significant verdict at trial. The trial was held in the 189th District Court of Harris County, Texas. Attorneys Mark Correo and Lance
Leisure fought long and hard to protect their client and overcame a number
of difficulties, including incomplete and missing medical and employment
documents and a language barrier.
The accident occurred when the defendant’s vehicle blew a tire and
spun out, causing the collision that forced our client’s vehicle
into a median wall. Our client came to us for help when the insurance
company refused to pay an adequate amount of compensation to cover his
medical bills. After an exhaustive investigation of the accident by our
legal team, it was determined that the defendant had been driving with
an expired inspection sticker because he knew the tire would not pass
inspection. The Houston jury agreed that this constituted negligence and
awarded the plaintiff nearly three times the amount the insurance company
offered to pay on the day of the trial.
If you or a loved one has been seriously injured in a
workplace accident you can count on Correro & Leisure, P.C. for dedicated representation.
